InfraHUGE
These are IR pictures taken with a permanently IR-modified Canon Rebel XT and a Nikon 105mm AIS. The cropping factor of the sensor (1.6x) makes the lens cover an angle similar to that of a 180mm telelens. Really Right Stuff panoramic head and a sturdy tripod have been used. Up to 280 frames were often taken, with a (manual!) frame rate of about three shots every two seconds. PTGui has been used to stitch together all of the images. FIle size ranges from several hundreds MByte to 3 Gbytes. A buffer storage of up to 65 Gbytes was necessary. The coordinates are shown in the zoomified pages (just click on the pictures) so you can go on Google Earth and figure out where these pictures were actually taken.
